Boat Owners Quote Request

.Considering Purchasing a Boat
.....We are not boat transport brokers, we are an association of independent yacht and boat transporters. Our system is designed to get you quotes directly from members of our association.

Submit Quote Request

We do not quote via email.

We will contact you directly to verify actual dimensions, dates for pick up and delivery. Your yacht or boat is then listed on our site giving those members interested advanced notice that your yacht or boat will be available for pick up on a specific date, where it is and where it's going allowing them to schedule your vessel in conjunction with loads they already have contracted. Their quotes will be submitted directly to you.

Should you decide to contract one of our members we will have them contact you direct, so you are working with the person responsible for transporting your yacht or boat.

Timing and logistics is what usually determines the cost of transporting vessels. By minimizing deadhead (unloaded) miles for the transporters will get you the owner the best price for moving your yacht or boat.

Establishing the earliest date for pick up is important. We receive many requests for quotes with no date for pick up or the word "Flexible". We understand what you mean but by establishing a date it gives the transporter a chance to schedule your boat around an existing load and that will get you the best price.

The height and beam are critical dimensions because they determine whether or not permits and or escorts will be required to transport the boat.

Boats with a beam exceeding 8.5' to 12' are considered wide loads and require wide load permits. Boat where the beam exceeds 12' up to 14' will require wide load permits and a single escort. Boats with a beam of 15' + will require wide load permits, 2 escorts and may require a route survey and police escort in some states.

Boats with an overall height of 12' to 13' will generally load out under the legal height limit of 14.5'. Boats with an overall height of 13.5' and up will load out over 14.5' and will require an additional pole car escort. Sailboat owners please include the overall length of mast (s).

Arrangements to have the flybridge and/ or arch removed, decommissioning of sailboats loading and off loading should be made well in advance of the date scheduled for pick up. Delays at the time of pick up will result in additional charges for down time. Poor planning is expensive.

Save money by reserving a truck. We strongly advise reserving a truck for pick up to insure a transporter will be there on the date you want your boat picked up. A transporter knows his schedule in advance, reserving a truck allows them to schedule your boat with previously contracted loads eliminating deadheading to the next load and gets you the best price.

If you are considering purchasing a Boat and need an Estimated Cost for Transporting we will be glad to assist you.

If you are considering the purchase of a new or used boat and need to get an estimate for transport there are a few things to keep in mind.

1. The more accurate your information regarding the overall dimensions of the boat length including trailer, if it has one, the height, beam, weight the more accurate the estimate.

2. Be honest, don't claim to be the boat owner if you don't own the boat. Our system is designed to get boat owners the best price by receiving quotes direct from members of our association. When a load is listed on our site this lets our members know the boat has been verified and they can try to schedule it in with another load there by getting the owner the best price.

When the boat listed is cancelled because the sale didn't go through the transporter has to try to reschedule other loads and causes serious delays on deliveries of contracted loads or loss of revenue because of a missed load.

We will be glad to give you an estimated cost to assist you in your decision to purchase a boat.

3. Please include Overall length with trailer if it has one, the overall height, the beam or width and weight.

Boats with an overall height of 13.5' and up will load out over 14.5' and will require an additional pole car escort. Ask the person you are buying the from to furnish those dimensions to avoid unexpected transport costs.

Spec sheets and tech manuals rarely show overall height measurements. This can be determined by taking a measurement from the waterline to the highest point on the cabin and adding the draft measurement to it.

4. What you should know when choosing a transporter. If you are soliciting quotes from sites on the net please read the following.
